Connectivity Solutions

Internet access and staying connected is a critical part of doing business. Downtime is not an option and pressure on networks is constantly increasing.

Business and organisations need a provider that can offer high-capacity broadband and internet connectivity, backed with strong Service Level Agreements for performance, circuit uptime and core network latency. They need a provider they can trust.

We are confident we can provide you with the right connectivity solution for your specific needs. Please contact our Sales team to discuss your requirements.

Ethernet Final Mile (EFM)

EFM is a new technology that can give you high speed business-class connection speeds up to 20Mbit/sec. EFM solutions from Total Web Solutions offer you a higher capacity Ethernet service, which is ideal for your business if your existing ADSL Broadband service is not as fast as your requirements need it to be, or if you are looking to cut the costs of your leased line with another provider.

Unlike a traditional leased lines, that connects using fibre, EFM uses bundles of copper pairs which results in them being faster to install as well as offering the benefits of lower costs and higher resilience. EFM speeds are bi-directional, meaning unlike with a standard ADSL/ADSL2+ connection, you would get the same Upload and Download speeds (i.e. 10Mbps DL and 10Mbps UL). This means EFM is the perfect service for VOIP, VPN and video conferencing as there’s no loss of voice quality, buffering or other time delay/latency issues that businesses can suffer from using standard broadband. Businesses who rely on fast upload for sending large files would also benefit greatly from this service.

Fibre Ethernet

An Ethernet leased line is a dedicated/private circuit that delivers internet connectivity to your business. The Total Web Solutions network is classed as the A end, i.e. the originating point of the internet circuit and the site for your connection (i.e. your business premises) is what is known as the B end (i.e. the destination of the circuit).

An Ethernet leased line will deliver unrivalled quality of service and unlike ADSL/SDSL services it gives you a 4 hour fault repair Service level Agreement (SLA) in the event of a fault, in comparison to the 40 or 20 clock hour fix offered on ADSL/SDSL products. Ethernet Leased Lines are provided as a Fully Managed service in that Total Web Solutions will supply the required hardware with the circuit (usually Cisco) that will be remotely monitored and managed by our Support team. Having a fully managed service means that Total Web Solutions will remove the headache of managing the circuit and allows you to focus on running your business.
