Fast upload and download speed
Broadband providers typically offer connection speeds between 1Mbps and 8Mbps (Megabits per second) with some such as ourselves also able to offer newer technology with much faster speeds up to 20Mbps for ADSL2+ or 80Mbps for Fibre to the Cabinet.
The upload speed represents the speed at which you can send email messages or information from your computer to the Internet. This doesn't need to be as high as the download speed, as the majority of traffic is sent from the internet to your computer. 448 Kbps (Kilobits per second) is the standard upload speed provided by BT but this can be as high as 1.3Mbps for ADSL2+ or 20Mbps for Fibre with the top of the range packages.
Flexible Contract
You have the choice of a 1 Months notice contract, 12 month contract or a 24 month contract on all Broadband packages. The 24 month contract is much better value as we will cover the setup fee (currently between £45 and £90).
Monthly Contract: We understand that a fixed term contract may not be suitable for a variety of reasons so we offer a one month notice contract on the Small Office 20M and Office 20M products. Due to the short notice period you will have to pay the setup cost if you choose this option (currently £45 + VAT).
12 Month Contract: 12
Month contracts are available as a minimum for Fibre products such as 40M
and 80M only. A Setup fee of £90 is still chargeable on 12 month products.
24 Month Contract: If
you sign up for a 24 month contract (payable monthly by direct debit) we
will not charge the setup cost (currently £45 for 20M or £90 for 40M and 80M Fibre Products).
Please note: Customers taking advantage of our free migration are subject to a 24 month contract, followed by the monthly contract stated above. Monthly contract not applicable to Business 40M or Corporate 80M products.
